eBay Canada Launches Entrepreneur of the Year Awards
The launch of a Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year Award was announced by eBay Canada. The award scheme has been developed in recognition of the efforts of some 430,000 individuals in the USA and Canada who make a full-time or part-time living selling on eBay.
eBay has enabled thousands of individuals across the globe to start their own businesses in the online marketplace. eBay, together with its subsidiary payments company, PayPal, provides a convenient and safe environment for online trading.
The annual eBay Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year Awards was founded to recognize those eBayers who operate successful online businesses in Canada, using eBay as the e-commerce environment within which to trade internationally.
In order to qualify, Canadian eBay sellers must achieve at least $1,000 CDN in sales per month on eBay.ca and/or eBay.com as well as having at least 10 listings each month. A minimum positive feedback rating of 96% is also required.
A key aspect of the awards programme is that entrants will be asked to detail how their evolving business on eBay operates within a framework using not just eBay’s technical features and market reach, but also eBay's community values and the ways that these values positively impact business.
Further details of the Canadian award programme are available on the eBay.ca site. eBay is a global corporation which operates on a worldwide basis.
