eBay Tip – Comparison Shopping

Sometimes it can be difficult to decide which one out of several similar items listed on eBay is the best bargain. Comparison Shopping is an eBay feature that provides an easy way for you to choose the best item.

Comparison Shopping is available on the eBay site at Shop listings, Sellers Other Items, search listings and also on “My eBay”. To the left of all the items displayed, you will find a small check box. Just click on the check boxes for items that you want to compare. At the bottom of the results page you will find a “Compare" button that will take you through to the Compare Item page.

The Compare Item page displays a Gallery image, seller ID, price, payment method, postage cost and item details for each of the items you selected for comparison. You can now save all of these items to your watch list by clicking the “Watch All" button in the top left of the page. Or you can save individual items using the "Watch this item" link next to each one.

It’s also sometimes useful to be able to compare prices for items that have previously been listed, so we’ve built an archive of finished listings with searchable descriptions and prices at “Value an eBay Item” that we hope will be useful for those of you who are not yet registered with eBay and therefore can't access the eBay archive of completed listings.
