Want-it-Now

One of the great things about using eBay is the high level of automation. Every time you win an auction or purchase an item via Buy It Now, an email telling you the listing has ended successfully will be sent to you automatically.

The email will usually say something like………

“Congratulations [buyerID] and [sellerID], the following eBay item traded successfully.”

The email will then detail the Item description, the winning bid price and the quantity, so both the buyer and the seller have a clear understanding of what has been bought and sold and for what price.

Then it will continue………

“Instructions: [buyerID] and [sellerID], please contact each other to complete the sale,” and will list the buyer and seller email addresses together with payment instructions and any other special terms which the seller included on the listing.

Usually, the email will conclude with…………..

“The buyer and seller should contact each other within 3 business days to conclude the sale. Note: the buyer should send payment directly to the seller. Don’t forget to leave Feedback after the sale is completed.

One of the things you can find with eBay is that your mailbox fills up quickly if you trade a lot. You can choose whether or not to receive automated emails through your notification preferences.
