Acceptance Testing

Objective

The objective is to deliver the application, which has passed the Acceptance Test Plan to the client, and to get the approval for the application from the client.

Entry Criteria

· System Test Code available

· System Test Report available

· System Test Data available

· Acceptance Test Plan available

Process Description

· The Acceptance Test Plan is prepared in consultation with client during development stage.

· The Acceptance Test Plan is reviewed through either the project manager or the client. Review comments are to be tracked to closure before testing commences.

· Acceptance will be carried at client place using acceptance test plan and test cases.

· Prepare the Acceptance Test Report based on the Acceptance testing done for each module. It provides summary statistics on the testing conducted, in terms of number of passed and failed test cases and also reports any deviations from the expected result.

Deliverables from the process

· Reviewed Acceptance Plan

· Acceptance Test Plan along with recorded passed/failed criterion

· Acceptance Test Report

· Acceptance Tested Code

Exit Criteria

· Acceptance Test Report available with all test cases passed successfully.
