So your item didn’t sell. Oh well, don’t get too disappointed, you can re-list it quickly and easily using the Ended Listings page. There is a status column on this view which indicates whether the listing has, or has not, already been re-listed.

If you see a blue status icon, then this finished listing has already been re-listed. It’s important to check the status because there are facilities in eBay to automatically re-list an item that does not sell, so if you manually re-list the item, it will appear twice.

But if you see a grey icon, then you know it is safe to go-ahead with a re-listing.

The process for re-listing an item is as follows:-

Load the Ended Listings page and select the re-list icon in the “Action” column or click on the "Relist" hyperlink. You then have the following options:-

  • The “Selling Format” button allows you to change, for example, a Buy it Now to a standard auction.
  • Using “Continue” will take you to the edit function so you can update part of the re-listed item.
  • Select “Go to Review” to preview how your re-listed item will look to buyers.

You can also auto-select all finished items by ticking the check box located in the blue bar at the top of your listings and then use the “Re-list” function to re-list all items. Review these and then select “Submit” to place them in the active listings section.
