eBay offers an upgrade package for volume sellers that supports numerous features which make the task of listing, managing, stocking and despatch much quicker than with the basic eBay functions.

The Selling Manager/Pro “Active View” shows all of the items that you currently have listed on eBay. As soon as a listing finishes, it is moved automatically to the Sold or Unsold View according to the outcome of the auction.

For a full description of Selling Manager/Pro, you should visit the Help pages on eBay’s main site – you can use this quicklink to get there. Here is a summary of what you can do from the Active View page:-

  • If you have similar or identical items in stock, you can make use of “Sell a Similar Item” to create a copy of an existing item listing. If there are slight differences in the item you want to list, then just make those changes – it’s much quicker than starting from scratch each time using the Sell Your Item function.

  • Anything in your listing can be amended except its’ selling format (eg it’s not possible to convert an auction item to an “eBay Shop item”). There are also restrictions on when you are allowed to make changes and these are mainly based around your item not having bids, Best Offers, or sales made on it and also that there is more than 12 hours before the auction ends. You can search our other pages for more details using the Google search box below.

  • Subject to the “12 hour” restriction, you can also add extra information to a listing description, end a listing early.

  • You can append notes to a listing for your own personal use (these are not shown on the public listing)

Selling Manager/Pro also has a function that can be used to define when items you have created should actually be listed or re-listed. You can:-

  • Save scheduled listings in the form of a listing template.
  • Schedule your listings to be automatically activated at a specified time and date.
  • Automate re-listing when an item is unsold at the end of an auction.
