As a seller, you may have had dealings with a particular buyer
that were not satisfactory from your point of view. So you can set up a list
of other eBay members who will not be allowed to place future bids on any of
your listings.
Your can include any registered eBay user (including
international members) up to a total of 1000 individuals and you may add or
remove a bidder at any time with immediate effect.
To access the Block Bidders feature, select Preferences in My
eBay and then go to the Buyer Requirements Section:-
- A blocked bidders box will appear and you can add the unwanted
bidder’s User ID.
- Separate
each ID with a comma or use “Enter” on your PC keyboard so that each ID
is on a new line.
- If you
prefer, each User ID can be separated with a space or a “;” character (semicolon).
- If you
want to take a member off your blocked list, select the User ID and use “Delete”
on your keypad.
- When you’re
finished, scroll to the bottom of the page and use “Submit” to confirm
your changes
Remember to use the Block Bidder function carefully – it can be
very tempting to bar members from your auctions, but this can also reduce
your selling opportunities. Sometimes it’s best to “grin and bear it” and to
reserve your blocked list for potential fraudsters rather than for just “awkward
customers”.
