If you use eBay’s Selling Manager or Selling Manager Pro, then you can combine multiple purchases made by a buyer into a single order for payment and shipping.

You can only combine purchases if the buyer has not yet paid for the items (although there is nothing to prevent you from still packing and posting the items together and offering a partial refund on postage charges if you wish).

When you deal with regular customers, you will often find that they make multiple purchases and will request a discount on the post and packing charges. This can be a very good way of increasing your sales through acquiring a good customer base rather than relying on “one-off” customers finding your items amongst thousands of others listed on eBay.

The process used to combine multiple items in Selling Manager or Selling Manager Pro is straightforward:-

  • Go to the “Sold View”
  • Select the sales record for any of the items.
  • The system checks if there are other items which the same buyer has purchased
  • Items that qualify for combination are merged into a single order
  • You can select the actual postage discount to apply.
  • Your “to post” listings will show the combined order ready for printing address label and packing slips.

Selling Manager Pro will also send an alert to your “My eBay” page when it detects that there are multiple purchases form buyers, which can be combined.
