Typically, when occasional sellers create a listing, it tends to be a one-off. But for volume sellers who use Selling Manager Pro, a listing can be associated with a product for which the seller has multiple quantities and can therefore be used as a template many times over.

The Selling Manager Pro product record contains a basic definition of the product including its’ description, quantities available, on sale and due for shipment; and the category to which it belongs. There is also a facility to record notes, where you buy the product from etc.

Each product record may contain one or more associated listing templates, which contain the specific definitions of the type of auction, individual item starting prices and so on that are to be included in the item listing.

Let’s say you have a supply of identical black eyebrow pencils that you intend to sell. You would create a product record for “black eyebrow pencil” containing the total quantity and the unit purchase price.

If you want to sell some of these eyebrow pencils through a standard auction, and you also want to list some as a multiple item (Dutch) auction through your eBay Shop, you will need to create two different types of template that can be used to generate the different types of listing many times over.

Once you’ve done this, it is extremely quick and simple to use the product and the template to create multiple listings for your products.
