If you are a seller dealing with a high volume of transactions, it could become confusing if all your sold items were continuously displayed in the “current view”. So items are automatically transferred to the “Archived View” of Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro, which shows sales records for four months, including the current month.

On a rolling basis, the oldest month’s records are deleted, but you can use the option to download sales details to your own PC for long-term storage.

If you wish, items can be manually archived from the “Sold Listings” view, but it is probably best to leave this process as an automatic routine.

The “Archived” and “Sold” views are almost identical, with the exception that in the archived area:-

  • Changes cannot be made to more than one listing at any one time.
  • No changes are permitted for sales records that are more than 90 days old.
  • You can still email buyers and print copy invoices using all the archived sales records.

During the first three months that a sales record is in the archive, you can :-

  • View the sales record items by current month, month -1, month -2 and month -3.
  • Review the task status – e.g. feedback comments to be left, or not yet received,
  • The sales status can be updated – e.g. refund issued, or goods returned.
  • The “contact buyer” function is still available for use.
  • The “leave feedback” link is still operational.
  • Copy invoices can be printed.
  • Private notes can be added.

If you wish to move an archived item(s) back into the current “Sold” view, simply select one or more records in the “Archived” view and use the “Move to Sold” option to restore the items.
