Picture Manager is a subscription service (i.e. there is a charge) from eBay, that allows you to upload multiple images of your items for use in listings. You save time by eliminating the need to upload photographs one at a time and can also have multiple images on all your listings without having to pay additional fees.

The following file types can be used in Picture Manager:

GIF (.gif file extension)

JPEG (.jpg file extension – this is the most common format when using a digital camera)

PNG (.png file extension)

BMP (.bmp file extension)

TIF (.tif file extension)

Animated .gif (.gif file extension) – this can only be used with the Internet Explorer browser.

Here is a quick summary of the method for uploading selected images from your PC. You can use this link to get to the main eBay website which has full details on using Picture Manager:-

  • Select Picture Manager and hit the “Add Pictures” button to open the “Upload Pictures” dialog box.

  • Use the browse feature to select the images you want to upload from your PC. Select the folder on your PC containing the picture(s) you want to upload and locate the picture you want to select. When you’ve found it, use the "OK" or "Open" button to select the image file for uploading.

  • A maximum of 6 pictures can be selected for upload in any one session and the new pictures will be automatically inserted together with any existing Picture Manager images.

  • The eBay listing layout supports a maximum of 12 images per listing, so ff you are making a listing using “Sell Your Item” and have previously inserted 10 Picture Manager pictures, the Basic Uploader will only display 2 file boxes.

  • On uploading the 2 new pictures, these automatically appear in your listing together with the other Picture Manager images you previously inserted.

  • When you’ve selected the pictures you want to upload, simply click the “Upload All” button.
