|
When you first join eBay, the registration process will require
you to select a unique identification (a nickname if you like) that will be
used to identity you in all your dealings with other members and which you
are unlikely to forget. There are a few restrictions (see paragraph below) on what name
you can choose, but mostly it’s just a matter of common sense and remembering
that eBay is a community that includes people of all ages and cultural/ethnic
backgrounds. In general terms, you are not allowed to create a user ID that is
obscene, profane, or which violates any of eBay’s policies or guidelines. You
are also not permitted to create a User ID based on a website address (www.xyzsiteexample.com)

you there) and check out the relevant policies - if you do breach these
rules, eBay has the right to:-

<, >, and @ - please refer to the eBay website Help pages for more
details or use the Google search box below. Try to think of an ID that will tell other members something
useful and meaningful about you. The following are permissible examples (but
they must also be unique – if not the eBay system will prompt you with similar
alternatives that are not already in use):-
