If you have an eBay Shop, you can often attract a loyal customer base and increase your repeat sales by sending emails or newsletters to your subscribers. Managing your email marketing lists and subscribers is done through "Manage My Shop" in My eBay.

Select the "Email Marketing" option to access the shop management facilities:-

  • A summary of your mailing lists will be displayed. The total number of subscribers is shown, together with the number for each individual list.

  • If you want to create a new mailing list, select “Create Mailing List” option which allows you to build a maximum of 5 subscription lists. It is usually best to give each mailing list an appropriate name that describes its’ area of focus - such as "Sale Specials" or “New Beauty Products”.

  • When an eBay Shop is first opened, a default mailing list entitled "General Interest" is automatically created and you can rename it by clicking on the "Edit" link.

  • If you want to delete a mailing list, just click on "Delete", but remember that this will unsubscribe all users IDs and they cannot be reinstated. If you do not have any mailing lists set up, your buyers will be unable to subscribe to any of your newsletters using their "Add to Favourite Sellers" view.

Promotion Boxes are a good way to build up your subscriber volumes. You can find links to promotion boxes and the HTML Builder on the menu bar in "Manage My Shop". For more information, you can search our pages using the Google search below, or visit the eBay Help pages via our link.

If you want to stop a subscriber from receiving your newsletters, you can add them the blocked bidder list, but this will also stop them from bidding on any of your items.
