Sales Reports Plus is a subscription service from eBay which provides
weekly and monthly analyses of sales performance. Being able to fully analyse
sales performance is a crucial part of managing your eBay Shop to best
effect.
The sales reports cover the following areas:-
- Sales
History and Analysis
- Fees charged
by eBay
- Buyers Unpaid
Items
- Sales sorted
by Category, Format, Ending Day, Ending Time, Duration
Full details of the metrics used in the various sales reports are
available on the eBay Help Pages – this link will take you to the
main eBay site. Following is a summary of the Sales History and Analysis
section. The information in this section of the Sales Reports helps you understand
the way sales have changed and also to identify the main factors causing that
change:-
- “Sales” is
the total revenue from sales of your items, based on final sale prices excluding
postage, packing and insurance charged to buyers.
- “Period-to-period
sales growth” details the increase or decrease in sales (expressed as a
percentage) in comparison with the previous week or previous month.
- “Ended
listings” shows the total number of listings that finished in the period
– this includes all listings for both sold and unsold items.
- “Ended
items” records the total number of items within all your finished listings
regardless of whether or not they were sold.
- The “Sold
items” report gives a total for the number of items you sold with each
individual item from a multiple-item listing being counted separately.
- The “Sold
items %” is for auction and fixed price formats only and shows the ratio
of sold to unsold items.
- The “Average
Sale Price” is a value figure calculated by dividing the total revenue
by the total number of individual items sold in the period.
- The “Total
buyers” figure includes multiple purchasers – i.e. those members who
made more than one purchase from you are counted each time – three purchases
by one buyer means that a figure of 3 will be added to the total buyers
count.
- The “Unique
buyers” total is based on the total number of different User IDs that
made purchases – i.e. each User ID is counted only once, even of they
make multiple purchases during the period.
- The “Repeat
buyers %” is calculated from the number of
unique buyers who made more than one purchase from you during the
period, divided by the total number of unique buyers.
