My eBay, Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro are all designed to help eBay members manage their selling tasks. But each of these selling environments is geared to different sales volumes.

My eBay comes as standard when you sign up for a selling account on eBay:-

  • The “All Selling” view provides basic management facilities to help you accomplish your selling tasks.
  • It’s suitable for sellers dealing with only a limited number of items at any one time.
  • The selling functions have been designed for managing individual listings.
  • If sales volumes increase, you may find that procedures for handling completion of the sale such as emails, leaving feedback, and dispatch planning, become laborious.

Selling Manager is designed for those sellers who have medium volume sales transactions to deal with:-

  • There is a charge for using this subscription service.
  • My eBay “All Selling” links are replaced by “Selling Manager” links.
  • The functionality and processes are geared the medium-to-high volume seller.
  • Standard templates are available for email and feedback.
  • You can reduce the time required for repetitive tasks such as email confirmations, leaving feedback and bulk printing of invoices/delivery notes.

Selling Manager Pro (SMP) is also a subscription service and supports higher levels of functionality suited to eBay Shops and other high volume eBay businesses:-

  • SMP is basically an upgraded version of Selling Manager.
  • The standard “All Selling” links in My eBay are replaced by SMP links.
  • The functions and processes in SMP are geared for use by volume sellers or small businesses.
  • Product inventory functions include automatic downdating of available stock when items are listed and sold. Notes about suppliers and automatic re-order notifications are also included.
  • Forward scheduling of listings and re-listing unsold items can be automated through rules-based routines.
  • Sales reports provide you with clear analysis of sales performance, revenue, profitability and trends.
