RAD Projects - Management

Project Teams

The Onsite Team will typically comprise 25% of the total team strength. Development cycle activities that are undertaken by the onsite team are typically those that will require a high degree of interaction with client executives and existing infrastructure and systems, e.g. requirement specifications, implementation and integration. The team will also take on responsibility for maintenance requests of a high priority nature. They will work to provide short-term fixes or work-around with the objective of restoring functionality to errant components as the earliest time.

Offshore Teams, on the other hand, engage in those activities with a high degree of offshore-ability. Development cycle activities that fall into this category would typically be mid-cycle activities such as prototype development, system development, and unit and system testing.

In addition to the above, Quality Assurance Teams take on responsibilities for

·         Interacting with the project teams to track the progress of the project

·         Ensuring that all LinksMultiple and client-specified standards and quality procedures are followed

·         Conducting quality reviews during all phases of the project

The offshore teams also have access to Technical Specialists, who act as resources for the offshore teams in order to handle responsibilities such as

·         Ensuring adherence to predetermined standards

·         Documentation

·         Planned quality reviews

In addition to the above teams, Senior Management Review Committees are responsible for periodic reviews at higher levels in order to ensure that the project is in conformance with the client’s requirements, schedules and overall strategy.

LinksMultiple appoints an Onsite Co-ordinator who acts as the single/prime point of contact with the client. All project related queries are addressed to the Onsite co-ordinator. Project Management related issues are addressed by the LinksMultiple Account Manager.

Change Management

Any changes to the scope or schedule during the course of the project will be handled according to the Change Control Procedures outlined below. A change can be initiated either by LinksMultiple or by the Client.

A change request can be filed by specifying the nature of the change and the need for it. The Change Request will be evaluated for its impact on the scope, schedule, quality and cost of the project. This will be reviewed in a joint meeting between the LinksMultiple and the Client’s Project Managers. Based on the review and agreements reached during the review, the change will be incorporated into the project (subject to mutual agreement).
